Ezekiel 28:13 - Rebellion, "In the beginning. . ."

"You have been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your tabrets and of your pipes was prepared in you in the day that you were created. You are the anointed cherub that covers; and I have set you so.

You were upon the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. You were perfect in your way from the day that you were created, until iniquity was found in you. By the multitude of your merchandise they have filled the midst of you with violence, and you have sinned: therefore,
  • I will cast you as profane out of the mountain of God:
  • and I will destroy you , O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Your heart
    was lifted up because of

your beauty, you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness:

  • I will cast you to the ground,
  • I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you. You have defiled your sanctuaries by
    the multitude of your

iniquities, by the iniquity of your merchandising:

  • therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of you, it shall devour you, and
  • I will bring you to ashes upon the earth in th sight of all them that behold you.
  • All they that
know you among the people shall be astonished at you: you shall be a terror, and never shall you be

              any more."

Isaiah 14:9 - Rebellion has its reward.

"Hell from beneath is moved for you to meet you at your coming: it stires up the dead for you, even all the chief ones of the earth; it has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. All they shall speak and say unto you, 'Are you also, become weak as we? Are you become like unto us?' Your pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of your viols: the worm is spread under you, and the worms cover you. How are you fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morninig! How are you cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations! For you have said in your heart,
  • I will ascend into heaven,
  • I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:
  • I will sit also, upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
  • I will ascend above the heights of the clouds:
  • I will be like the most High.'

Yet you shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see you shall narrowly look upon you, and consider you, saying, 'Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms: That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?' All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house. But you are cast out of your grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcas troden under feet. You shall not be joined with them in burial, because you have destroyed your land, and slain your people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned."

Genesis 3:1 - Rebellion spreads to others.

"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, 'Yes, has God said, you shall not eat of every tree of the garden?' And the woman said unto the serpent, 'We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'

And the serpent said unto the woman, 'You shall not surely die: For God does know that in the day you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.' And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be deired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with here; and he did eat."

Job 1:6; 2:1 - The rebellious do evil against the righteous.

"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also, among them. And the Lord said unto Satan, where do you come from? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, 'From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.' And the Lord said unto Satan, Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fears God, and shuns evil?' Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, 'Does Job fear God for nothing? Have you not made a hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth your hand now, and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.' And the Lord said unto Satan, 'Behold, all that he has is in your power; only upon himself put not forth your hand.' So, Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord."

"Again, there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also, among them to present himself before the Lord. And the Lord said unto Satan, Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fears God, and shuns evil? And still he holds fast his integrity, although you moved me against him, to destroy him without cause.' And Satan answered the Lord, and said, 'Skin for skin, yes, all that a man has will he give for his life. But put forth your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse you to your face.' And the Lord said unto Satan, 'Behold, he is in your hand; but save his life.' So, went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown."

Matthew 10:1,7; Luke 10:17 - The rebellious have fallen !

"And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. . . and commanded them saying. . . 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give.'

And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through your name. And he said unto them, 'I beheld satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.'

Acts 1:8 -
"You shall receive POWER after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

1 Corinthians 15:51 -
"Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last rump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incoruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So, when this corruptible shall have put on incoruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, 'Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?' The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the the law. But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our lord Jesus Christ."

Romans 16:20 -
"And the God of peace shall trample satan under your feet shortly."

1 John 4:4 -
"You are of God little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."

Revelation 12:7 -
The rebellious are angry without a cause and without hope; for their judgment is sure and their hope is gone.

"And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels. And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, 'Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ; for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony: and they love not their lives unto the death.

Therefore, rejoice, you heavens, and you that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitors of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time."

Revelation 20:10 -
"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." - Amen

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world!" (John 16:33)

"There has no trial been given to you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tested above that you are able but will with the trial give you a way to escape that you may be able to bear it."

(1 Corinthians 10:13)

"According to his divine power has  (he) given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to his glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world, through lust."

(2 Peter 1:3-4)
