In our culture, the ignorance of the unbelieving declares faith to be foolish, because it is easier to believe nothing than to believe
something and risk being proven wrong, or to risk being held accountable for our actions.
Life belongs to those who are willing to take the risk and believe! In choosing to believe that there is no God, you actually have chosen to believe in your self.
Faith is not blind; but faith, without God, is foolish. (Psalm 14:1; 1 Corinthians 2:14) Therefore, those who don't believe will have what they have spoken -unbelief - and those who believe, without God being in it, will be disillusioned. - 1 John 5:14-15
The safety barrier between faith and foolishness is wisdom. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." (Proverbs 9:10)
Where have all the inventions, art, and music flowed from: third world countries, the darkened Congo of Africa, the ancient civilizations of the far east, or the new world established upon Jew deo/Christian principles and a reverence for the only true God.?
Without him, you will end in despair; but with him your faith is made effective. (Philemon 6) He is the one who prophesied the intellectual/industrial explosion of the last few centuries. (Daniel 12:4; Nahum 2:4; Isaiah 60:8) God is the one has "knowledge of witty inventions." (Proverbs 8:12) He is the one who is bringing history to pass, as he has said. Unfortunately, there is sin in the world that takes the wisdom and knowledge of God and twists it for evil intentions. "But God is not mocked, for what man sows, he shall, also, reap." (Galatians 6:7) God has set aside a day and a time for restitution and judgment of all things.
- Revelation 20:14-15; Matthew 24:13:32
redeemer. (Psalm 103:10; Romans 8:30-31) Then you will be considered righteous before God. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
"He who knew no sin, became sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God, in him."
2 Corinthians 5:21- God never criticized his people for having to much faith, only for having to little faith. Matthew 6:30; 8:26; 14:31;16:8;Luke 12:28
The disciples asked the Lord to increase their faith. The Lord replied with the example of the mustard seed, declaring, "If you had the
smallest of faith, such as, the grain of mustard seed, you could move mountains." (Matthew 17:20) It is not the amount or size of faith
but the type of faith that you possess that will change your world and provide for your needs. (Mark 11:22-24)
"For unto us was the gospel preached,as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in
them that heard it." Hebrews 4:2
I hope that you will not take the easy way of denial, and human reasoning. But, rather, remember, "Wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. Because, strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:13-14
Take the risk. Believe God. What else are you doing that will change your life forever?
It's what you do and don't do today, that will show up in your tomorrows. How will you face tomorrow? It will be with God or without him.
WARNING: don't wait. You have no promise of another moment in this life.
The experience follows the belief, not the other way around. As one church sign read, "Some things have to be believed to be seen."
