Scriptual evaluation of the church

Jesus is the one who holds the life of the church in his hand and walks among his people, revealing the attitudes, thoughts, and intents of their hearts.- Dennis Evans

1Co 4:19 "I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. [20] For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power."

Although these churches are view in numreous ways, one way, not generally considered, is prophetic. Jesus is not only admonishing the churches for what they are currently doing; he prophesies over them their demise or the end result of their sin, which makes the account become a historical record, at the end of each church age. The things that Jesus propheside over each historical age did, in fact, happen.
